- What is a lockout?
- Why lockout? Legislation and safety.
- What should be locked out?
- Who is responsible for locking out equipment? Why?
- Sources of energy in machinery.
- What do we actually do when we lock out equipment?
- How do we know it is safe to work on the equipment?
The presentation includes a video and overheads. It is instructor
driven but it relies on participant input to generate the answers to
the questions. Examples from the workplace are incorporated into the
program. A guide to Lockout is included for each participant.
Review Course (2 hrs)
The review covers much of the above material, but in less detail and with more emphasis on the worker’s responsibilities for safety
